INDIAN BENCHMARKS surges…Nifty past 8,000 to record high

INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARKS
surged with nifty past the psychologically important 8,000 level for
the first time gained after better-than-expected quarterly GDP data.
• Voltas gained 2 percent as Bank of America Merrill Lynch reiterates buy rating on the stock with an increased target price of Rs 305 per share.
• Further, Bharti Airtel climbed 1.7 percent after Airtel Network Kenya has acquired 2.7 million subscribers of Essar telecommunications Kenya.
The crucial resistance for Nifty is now seen at 8035 and above this 8070. Support for the immediate term is now placed at 7980 and next support will be 7920.

INDIAN BENCHMARK open on a bullish note tracking a
firm trend across markets in Asia after reports from US indicated that the
world’s largest economy is strengthening.
FURTHER, Shares of defence equipment
makers rose after the government notifies increase in FDI limit to 49% through
approval route in the defence sector. ONGC rose over 2%, on hopes of reforms on subsidies
and gas prices ahead of ONGC's share sale.
Trend in FII flows: The FIIs
were net buyers of Rs 192cr in the cash segment on Tuesday while the DIIs
were net sellers of Rs. 259cr, as per the provisional figures released by
the NSE.

INDIAN BENCHMARKS closes marginally higher… PSU banks gains

INDIAN EQUITY
BENCHMARKS
ended marginally higher led by gains in bank shares after Finance
Minister Arun Jaitley today said that the government was working towards
bringing in more professionalism in the functioning of banks and improving risk
management, amid the backdrop of the recent scams in some public sector banks.

Shares of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories ended
lower by 1.5% after report stated that the company was in talks with a US
regulator over allegations it violated packaging rules for some prescription
drugs sold there between 2008 and 2012.
·
Further, Zee Entertainment rose over a
percent as it is all set to replace United Spirits in CNX Nifty with effect
from the September 19.
The crucial resistance for Nifty is now seen at 7920
and above this 7945. Support for the immediate term is now placed at
7855 and next support will be 7780.

INDIAN BENCHMARK open on a flat note tracking a mostly weak trend across
markets in Asia as a sharp slowdown in China’s manufacturing underscored
concerns over the health of the world’s second biggest economy, overshadowing
Federal Reserve’s commitment to continue to keep interest rates low.
FURTHER, DLF Ltd is planning to
reduce debt to Rs 12,000-14,000 crore by FY17 through asset monetization.
Reliance Infrastructure has filed an appeal in the Appellate
Tribunal for Electricity against the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory
Commission pleading a stay on its recent order in change-over and switchover of
its consumers to Tata Power in the Mumbai distribution area.
INDIAN BENCHMARKS end at record closing high

INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARKS ended at fresh life time high
on positive global cues and a sharp decline in crude oil prices.

Tata Motors DVR jumped 5.6 percent after
a report in the Times of India newspaper that Indian exchanges may consider
admitting such shares on their benchmark indexes.

Further, Jubilant Foodworks gained 6.2
percent after Bank of America Merrill Lynch started coverage with a buy rating
and a target price of 1,375 rupees, saying the company is in a "sweet
spot" in the large and high-growth quick service restaurants market.

and above this 7945. Support for the immediate term is now placed at
7780 and next support will be 7740.

is expected to trade in a narrow range of 60-60.25/USD today." "The
new 10 year paper to be auctioned tomorrow is likely to be in a range of
8.35-8.40 percent. The re-allocation of USD 5 billion FII investment limit
without lock-in has made short end of bonds bullish. Current benchmark bond
will be off-the-run paper from tomorrow and is expected to trade today in a
narrow range of 8.62-8.65 percent," he added.

EQUITY BENCHMARKS slumped, recording their largest drop in percentage terms
since January 27, 2014, as investors turned cautious and booked profits ahead
of the Budget session on Thursday.

Shares of Aban Offshore surge as much as 9.8 percent, their highest level since
May 14, 2010, on hopes the country's largest offshore drilling company may
enjoy higher rig rates in the coming quarters. ONGC has okayed
an expenditure sanction of an additional Rs 3,085.54 crore for hiring of five
more offshore jack-up rigs for a period of three years.
The
