BASE METAL WRAP:
Copper climbed by the most in a week, rebounding from
a five-week low, as former Treasury Secretary Lawrence
Summers withdrew his nomination to lead the Federal
Reserve, boosting expectations tapering of stimulus will
be slower. Aluminum and lead also rose.
ENERGY WRAP:
West Texas Intermediate crude fell for a second day amid
speculation that the threat of imminent military strikes
against Syria has eased as the U.S. pursues a plan to
confiscate the nation’s chemical weapons.
PRECIOUS METAL WRAP:
Speculators got less bullish on gold, selling long
contracts at the fastest pace this year as prices fell
the most in almost three months on prospects for less
central-bank stimulus. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said the
retreat has further to go
.
