Birla may buy 16% stake
Shares of
Century Textiles and Industries hit 3.6-year high, up over 9 percent on report
that Kumar Birla will acquire 16 percent stake in the company.
Tata Communications up 7%, Vodacom
to buy its SA unit
Shares of
Tata Communications rose over 7 percent as it is selling its South African
telecom unit Neotel. Vodafone-owned Vodacom has agreed to buy South Africa’s
internet-provider Neotel for ZAR 7 billion.
